Tarantino’s Revisionist Tale of Teutonic History Sounds Terrific!

I plan to be front and center this Friday!

…with my popcorn and my vat of Diet Coke at the ready, eagerly awaiting Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds. I’m expecting a blood soaked, action packed take on the WWII oeuvre that crackles with wit, sharp dialogue and terrific performances.

What I love about QT is that he is a film fanatic first, who as it happens, makes movies. Very good movies. He honors those who came before him and his films benefit from the meticulous attention to detail that comes from having a head full of movie trivia. I am an amateur, a poser if you will, compared to him. I bow to Tarantino. What I wouldn’t give to sit in on one of his “movie nights.”

Watch this space. I’ll be back with reactions after I see Inglorious Basterds on Friday August 21.
